Siddhi Singh — Backend Developer

Backend developer with a 6-month backend internship at Himritva (Jan–Jul 2025) and four independent projects. I work with Node.js, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and Redis, and focus on the parts behind the API: authentication, job queues, webhooks, and API gateways.

My projects handle failure cases: retries with backoff, dead-letter queues, rate limiting, circuit breakers, and signed webhooks. I have used JWT, OAuth, BullMQ, and Socket.io, and wrote 213 automated tests (Vitest, Supertest) across five projects.

I am early in my career. The independent projects are learning builds, not production systems under live traffic. MCA graduate, SNDT Women's University, 2025.

FEATURED /projectify Built

Built a multi-tenant task and project management platform during my backend internship at Himritva. Implemented JWT auth with HttpOnly cookies, Google OAuth, workspace-level RBAC, Kanban task APIs with fractional ordering, and real-time task updates over Socket.io.

GATE /api-gateway Built

Built a centralized API gateway that combines JWT and API-key authentication, Redis sliding-window rate limiting, a circuit breaker for upstream failures, and request proxying. Wrote 94 tests covering auth, rate limits, circuit-breaker states, and proxying.

QUEUE /job-queue Built

Built an asynchronous email delivery service that queues jobs with BullMQ and Redis and returns immediately. Added priority queues, exponential-backoff retries, a dead-letter queue, and PostgreSQL job tracking. Wrote 27 unit and integration tests.

HOOK /webhook-service Built

Built a webhook delivery service that queues one BullMQ job per subscriber per event, so one failing subscriber does not block the others. Signed payloads with HMAC-SHA256, rejected stale requests with a 5-minute timestamp window, added exponential-backoff retries, and stored delivery history in MongoDB. Wrote 35 unit and integration tests.

Built an interview preparation platform that uses the Gemini API to generate personalized questions, with authentication and session management. Wrote 26 tests covering Gemini mocking, malformed AI output, and authorization.
